Darkness

Darkness rules my heart, my soul, my mind

I rule in the style of Machiavelli

 I acquire without morality and in the name of greed

 The bereft baron of capitalistic mental in the mode of Andrew Carnegie;

Ruthless, I’ve got a diamond where my heart used to be

And all that glistens isn’t gold

My core is rock hard but it sparkles and shines

 Dreams die, close up shop and cease to be

 But stand in my way and I will cut you with this thing that sits where my heart used to be

I swear you won’t bleed;

You’ll just end up with something hard next to your lungs

 As all that was sweet and good dies within

 Let’s call it a rebirth

 As the devil emerges within to displace in your heart

 And love succumbs

I tell you, that this forged coal which resides inside

 Plugs the well from which all life must flow

 And as I watch you die,

 I warm myself on your smoldering soul as it turns into coal

 It’d be a lie to say that revenge is a dish best served cold

Because I enjoy the smell of your burn

Because you forged the darkness that resides within

Crushed my heart and turned stagnant fragment fossils into the cubic zirconium

That is just so hard and cold;

 I have a diamond where my heart used to be

 And angsty wasteland as far as the eye can see

 I wrung out all I had so my heart no longer bleeds

We’re carbon based lifeforms

So I break your C-C-C and C-C-C-H chains

And start stepping on the remaining unicellular organisms

All that remains are the zeros and ones of data that twist and fade as your

Existence ceases to be

Your presence is primarily basic

And the lack thereof is binary

There are 10 types of people in this world

Those that understand me and those that don’t,

Chances are that if you don’t understand me now, you probably won’t

Because your mindset is primarily basic too

I’ll spray raid on your shattered bits

Running and scurrying,

Run man bits run!

You are not your fucking khakis

You’re a colossal flop, dated like a fucking betamax

Jaded, and all but the obvious ain’t gonna pass

I poke a hole in your ego, ergo

I watch you deflate

Stupidity isn’t the sole dominion of stupid people, it’s the dominion of people,

stupid

I'll cause a frameshift mutation in your DNA;

Have you walking around with three arms and four legs

Your offspring’ll be walking around like “eh, duh”

So principally when there is no more you or me

The data that we were,

They too cease to be, even though we live on in memory;

Gone too will be the ice box, ahem, diamond where our hearts used to be

Frost melts, and flows away

Ashes to ashes;

We, from dust, return thereto

Brokenhearted, you and I

Man and lost rib, formed of clay.
