To Whom It May Concern
To whom it may concern Within these pages is inspiration embodied
Words in lieu of numbers enumerate these days
Count them and the equation scripts the thoughts of this man
His life, his ways;
Beautifully endangered, saved through the spoken word
In danger of existing, but not of being forgotten
Besotted, belie English text beside rites of passage in dialect
Respect, revere these pages
My name is Eugene
These are my sorrows, my rages
Delight yourself,
For I enlighten myself with the happenstance of sages
And here I write, so that my life’s text
Is never lost to the ages.
