     "I was once confronted in an argument with the idea that writers such as Yeats will always be more respected than per se, Langston Hughes, because Yeats is a far more subtle writer.
     Now, while in that specific case, I believe Yeats to be the better writer (by a bit), I wouldn't go so far as to say that subtlety has an intrinsic value. I am blunt.
     Part comedian, part social commentator, part loud and offensive, I do not write the spoken word as a subtle craft. If it were poetry, I might. So sit back, enjoy, and don't think too much. None of this is supposed to be subtle."
