I started writing poetry some time in 7th grade; though it wasn't until an English teacher introduced me to the spoken word that my writing really took off. I never leave the house without a notebook and a pen.

Well, I wrote another poem before this one (another sojourn one) but in my sluggishness to publish, I wrote this one instead. It's far nicer. I've decided to start mix and matching lines I like from old poems with newly written ones; the ending of this one is from Beside Me.
